During its 25-year history, Amgen has earned a well-deserved reputation for being a model corporate citizen by conducting itself in the highest ethical manner. Conducting business ethically and ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations that govern our business supports our mission to serve patients. As Amgen’s Chief Compliance Officer, and an Amgen staff member for more than a decade, I am very proud of Amgen’s excellent track record of corporate compliance.  

Amgen’s Corporate Compliance Program is driven by Amgen’s Values.  Non-compliance can disrupt our ability to provide products that may have brought meaningful improvement to patients' lives. It also can lead to serious and costly consequences for Amgen and our staff.

As a result, compliance is every staff member’s responsibility.  There are a number of resources available to help staff members stay informed and to protect Amgen against non-compliant behavior. These resources include:  Amgen’s “Do The Right Thing” Business Conduct Standards handbook; the Web-based "Do the Right Thing" training course; Amgen's compliance policies; and Amgen's Business Conduct Hotline.

We recognize that there is a broad range of stakeholders who have an interest in how we manage and operate our business.  We are pleased to share with you an overview of some of the policies that we have established to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
